Ms. Falls
I graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University with a degree in Secondary English Education. I love traveling, Food, and my family! I really enjoy bringing knowledge of the places I have visited into the classroom. I believe being globally aware helps students know and embrace their own identify. African, European, and South American culture have all taught me valuable lessons that I strive to bring into my classroom. The biggest is family value which I learned the most of from my time in South America. We as a class are not just a family while we learn and study together, but it takes a village to educate a students in a well-rounded and complete way and that starts with getting and appreciating the families that back our students. In Africa I learned mostly about embracing the unique qualities the each student brings to our learning community. I want each student to know, that I know they have something worth bringing into the classroom everyday and expect them to not holdout on the rest of us. It is a disservice to their peers and I if they are not bringing their talents and unique skill traits into the classroom everyday! Lastly In Europe I learned that if you set the standard high enough and are willing to help your students get there every student will rise to meet those expectations!
